One Week...

One week to go...

One week before it is time for another change, another transition for our family.

One week before we pack up and move from what is now familiar to what is unfamiliar.

One week before all of our belongings will be packed tightly into one vehicle.

Tonight at bedtime, Kieran said, "Sometimes I just have to let go of the past and move on to the future."  What big thoughts for a little guy!  We have all grown so much these past few months, but our kids have especially grown.  Transitions are rough, but we praise God for His provisions and for going ahead of us on this journey.  Our location and situation in life may change, but God stays the same!

Taquitos de Los Angeles.  The fruit waters are some of the best in town!
This was our last weekend in Puebla.  It seems hard to believe that we have already been here for 7 months!  Saturday, we headed downtown to go to a book exhibit in honor of the Day of the Mother Tongue.  We decided to make a day of it and enjoyed tacos at one of our favorite taco places on the Zocalo (city center).  Next, we walked around and visited some bookstores.  We stumbled upon a new playground and let the kids play for a while.  Elyse made friends with a little girl who wanted to practice her English and I had a chance to practice Spanish with her mom.

On our way home, we noticed that the "Hot" sign was on at Krispy Kreme (okay, so maybe I was looking for it) and stopped for a treat!  The kids watched the donuts being made and one of the workers came out and brought them two donuts fresh off the line!  It was a yummy way to end the day.  Of course, when we got home, Kris and I put on our running shoes and put in some running/walking time...everything in moderation!

In English that means, "Hot...eat me now!"
Delicious!
Time to make the donuts!
Donuts for dinner?  You bet!

We have a busy week ahead with classes, birthday celebrations (Happy Birthday, Kris), packing, and saying goodbye!  Thank you for your prayers.

One week...
